The Last Civil Defense
Laws mean nothing when those laws fail to protect the public. Dedicated to Truth.
The real reason Camden City PD was disbanded is because starting with the Patrol Division, the rank and file refused to comply with a General Order mandating officers violate the Constitutional rights of the people of the City of Camden. That General Order stated that patrol officers not on an emergency call had to account for their time every 20 minutes during their shift by randomly stopping citizens on the street and collecting their identification and personal information.
Essentially, Camden City Patrol Officers were ordered to conduct random Ped Stops of citizens just going about their lives. No reasonable suspicion necessary. No probable cause required. The Constitution of the United States of America thrown right out the window. Confronted with refusing this General Order or complying with an order that they knew was in violation of the Constitutional rights of the people that these officers took a pledge of honor to protect, the rank and file put it all on the line for the people of the City of Camden. Not all heroes wear capes.

Q&A: Camden's Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez - SJ Magazine
"Laws mean nothing when those laws fail to protect the public."
They say that perspective is everything. In an instant, foe becomes friend. Friend becomes foe. Perceived loss, hope.
For lots of police officers across the country it is just a job. A paycheck. But then there are the forgotten corners of America where even "the law of the land" is deemed secondary to moral discretion. Only a "calling" can bring a man to serve in a place like this. It is a given that people on the street do not like cops.
Question:
If you knew beforehand that you would have to contend with a corrupt administration gunning for its own officers, a racist "City" (administration) gunning for its White officers, as well as fellow officers that more resemble the hardened criminals you are charged with preserving the public from than peaceable people, would you still travel that road?
Answer:
It's a calling.
Question:
Well, if you knew beforehand all of the things that we have discussed, that you would be brow-beaten from every conceivable aspect and angle or that you would have to face things about the world and yourself on levels that no person chooses to confront - and question those judgements the restof your life, that you would lose any supposed friends that youdid have, be treated so badly by family and close friends for new and less fascinating reasons, frankly, that at the end of it all, you would find yourself outcast by every single one of these elements, including that so-called brotherhood that would take you in (pauses). Knowing any of this beforehand, would you still travel that road?
Answer:
Like I said, "It's a calling".
City Hall and Monument, Camden, NJ (pictured below).
Tell you a little story about a police department once upon a time in America so poorly managed, run on the backbone of its patrol division which represented a small fraction of the police force on a whole. Let's say 78 patrol officers out of 500+. 78 officers "humping the radio", that means responding to emergency calls day-in and day-out. The rest do-nothings. "Policing in America" (laughs). Except this place, this ain't America. Not the America you know. For good or bad, that used to be what was most endearing about The City.
Every theme that society is now confronted with had been festering issues in that City and that police department for decades just about to boil over when I arrived as a young recruit. Top of my class behind the military vets, that achievement slighted by the news of somethingcalled Affirmative Action. A slap in the face as my civil service test score left no room for the State to take credit. Fuck them.
Camden was "The Canary in The Coal Mine" but with such stigma attached to The City, well-earned I might add, being No. 1 for murder and violent crime for many years running and spilling over to the surrounding areas . . .
Question: Let me stop you there. That was the actual problem, wasn't it? That it was spilling out into surrounding areas?
Answer: Nods.
The citizens of the real America would turn a blind eye to the surveillance state tactics utilized Liberal by policy makers to tame these streets. Dangerous freedom or peaceful slavery decided upon by Liberal policy makers. This will be the State's solution across the board using the City of Camden as an example of their stellar achievement.
Police departments are run almost exclusively by policy makers and through political pressure now rather than being run by those whose interests are public safety. Public safety is in a word "White Supremacy" according to our illustrious politicians and Liberal policy makers, officers merely agents of the State. That State whose oath is swiftly abandoned upon a recruit's boots hitting ground in The City ofCamden. The City has her own codes and mores. The brotherhood its own system of values. Simply stated, "Might Makes Right". Laws mean nothing when those laws fail to protect the public, and so we had our own code. Moral discretion, a tug of war on all sides for a patrol officer.
The City was under occupation upon my arrival. Occupied by the State of New Jersey and its henchmen "God's children" (state troopers) imposing operational standards illogical to everyday life of the good people of Camden. The people, under assault by elements of criminality on both sides, the State and the Streets. State sanctioned thuggery any way you look at it because the depth of depravity that existed on the streets of Camden for several decades were created by the Liberal policy makers. I watched it unfold. Levels of depravity which sheer numbers and statistics cannot convey even ifthey were legitimate and not doctored for political advantage.
"Third-world conditions". Except the Third World is left to its own devices by and large and doesn't have to contend with the compounding restraint that "the Law" of the rest of the land imposesand that binds the hands of so-called "First World" citizens (i.e. Suburbanites). Law merely serves to tie the hands of justice. To obstruct justice and mold an environment of depravity.
Moral dilemma at its finest.
Confronted at every turn on a daily basis so that the concepts of society that "middle class" Americans adhere to do not exist. Camden, like many similar places existed outside of the realm of control of the State. Even while under occupation by the State whose troopers would every so often cry out on the radio not knowing where they were. Calling for help. Trapped somewhere in the projectsincapable of giving their 20 (location). The present of State Troopers in the City of Camden was merely political posturing.
I mean, "Who is coming to save "God's Children"? A lowly patrol officer, that's who.
In reality, law creates barriers and hindrances to peace and justice for people. Ultimately, the City of Camden became that "Police State," you'd often hear about, and you think you know babbling on about Big Brother and the dangers of "The Surveillance State". Just abstract ideas for most people. Not lived experience.
But not in my time when moral struggle governed the streets and with it a sense of freedom. Unaware of the trappings of the real America and how it operates. Simple things Americans take for granted as Americans enjoy the comfort and safety of their peaceful slavery. Dangerous freedom is preferrable as I provide for my own safety and for the safety of others and the only thing holding me backas an officer and as an individual from serving Justice is the Law.
Question:
Why did you agree to this interview?
Answer:
The surveillance State in The City of Camden just like every other theme that existed there is set to become normal practice across the nation but first the policy makers must create depravity as we are witnessing in so many places not just in America but wherever Whites make their home.
(Hangs head).
Camden used to be White. It was bustling industrial town for at least a 150 years.
Question: What happened?
Answer: Frankly, the Puerto Ricans happened. In the late 70's, a Puerto Rican male was shot by police and that community rioted targeting the business district. Ring a bell?
Once upon a time, Camden had neighborhoods based on race and ethnicity as is the natural disposition of people when there is no government interference. There were all types of vibrant neighborhoods in Camden. Off the top of my head, you had Polak Town with a nice Polish population. You had a majority Italian area (actually more than one) in sections of North and South Camden. Youhad a Jewish section spanning Marlton Pike and downtown that had delis and nice stores in the business district. You had a Black section in South Camden with God-fearing Blacks. You had Puerto Ricans in their area of North Camden. Even up until the 90's you had White Fairview, that was actually White. It was one of the last pristine neighborhoods. East Camden was like a quiet suburb. You get the idea. People lived wherever they wanted, of course, but they lived in neighborhoods with people like them for the most part as people areinclined to do. After the riots, the businesses left. People left. Neighborhoods emptied out of the White majority. New people arrived and, yes, they were not White and they brought criminality.
It's the same model over and over all throughout history, actually. We witnessed this very thing occur across the nation during the Riots of 2020.
Essentially, you asked me "what happened to Camden"? The answer is non-Whites rioted and Whites moved elsewhere. White Flight happened.
Before you knew it, all those quaint neighborhoods became drug sets where "possees" developed. (A Possee is a Gang). Then wider networks of drugs and prostitution became the norm and took over entire sections of the City to the point where open-air drug activity and prostitution was just about everywhere. You had a situation where there was open drug activity and addicts, prostitutes and runners, look outs, everywhere with children getting off the school buses right in the middle of it.
"In the distance I thought I saw a woman. She came back into view. Staggering as I approached her. I could see that her clothes were ripped. Torn from her body barely hanging on to her. She had dirt all over her, in her hair grass. Disheveled from head to toe, in hysterical breakdown in the aftermath of her ordeal. Oh, God.
A scene out of war-torn Cambodia but those images are all doctored.Where the fuck am I? Is this even America? That woman was pulled right off of the street in broad, fucking daylight. Raped on the street with traffic in the near distance and life obliviously buzzing all around her. The perpetrator long gone. What is the moral dilemma you might ask? Do you put that woman through the system against her will? She is hysterical and not in her right state of mind. After already having been batter and violated by the streets, do you now give the State its turn? Shall she be forced to deal with the ineffective bullshit of the system that aims to do nothing but process paperwork deeming that rape an act against the State itself effectively removing the victim from the equation altogether. What say ye?
We hear these same stories occurring in the U.K. and other European countries. I hear Camden."
Question:
What did you do in that situation with the lady?
Answer:
You wouldn't understand. I opted to respect that woman's wishes to not be put through a successive ordeal, battered bythe bullshit State. I know things that you don't know. The system treats victims and perpetrators no differently. I got them all to say that in Federal Court under testimony had anyone been paying attention.
Let me tell you what real heroes do. They defy a system that abuses people. They defy "unlawful" orders. They defy orders that encroach on the natural rights of people. Those 'Civil Rights' we hear so much about but are uttered so often, mean nothing. What would you do as a police officer if your administration handed down a General Order mandating that you violate the persons of the peaceable citizens you serve? Mandating that officers randomly conduct ped stops for every 20 minutes not on an emergency call? They handed out 'interview cards' to every officer in every (patrol) squad.
That General Order foreshadowed the 'surveillance state' measuresto come to the City of Camden.
We resisted. The reaction of Patrol Division to this General Order is what led to Camden City Police Department being disbanded. That is how far the rank and file were willing to go for their convictions. Patrol put up a valiant fight against the powers that be. The Liberal policy makers. Those lauded in the papers for what in reality were tyrannical efforts. Slandering those good men and women walking the beat. Hanging on our heads the worst smear possible, "corruption". There are always a few bad apples, but what Patrol Division officer "Humping the radio", having to account for their timeevery 20 minutes has any time to plot and plan when they cannot even do proactive policing in open-air drug and prostitution markets?
By and large, any corruption always comes from the top down.
Question: What steps did Patrol Division officers take to resist the surveillance state measures headed to Camden City? What could they possibly do?
Answer: It started with the guys that had seniority. They did what they could do. What they had to do really. It was so subtle. They created the conditions such that this particular General Order simply could not be carried out, by any officer. It became an impossibly with squads greatly under-staffed. Dumb beat cops, huh?
People talk of glory but know nothing of it. This may be as close as I will ever come to glory in my lifetime standing within the ranks of this brotherhood, Camden City cops. They taught me everything that I know. We targeted predators. Not peaceable people.
Why do I do this interview? Because "their ain't no rest for the wicked" and therefore none for the rest of us. There is a bounty of glory to be had for the vigilant in a world where predatory interests and influences enjoy power over our nation. For those that pursue noble endeavors to protect people against the criminal minded, the predators. Those same malfeasant influences in power then that preyed upon the people of the City of Camden did so as part of a larger scenario that can now be observed on a national scale, referencing Camden City as a viable option for other Police Departments nationwide.
Before Surveillance State measures were employed, the City of Camden was consistently No. 1 for murder - multiple years running, some times dropping down a spot or so, but never getting out of as much as the top few spots, and for decades. After all of the constitutional and moral violations against the residents of the City ofCamden, including an untold number of cameras covering veritably every inch of the City and the usage of quick response drones, what do the Liberal policy makers that dissolved the Camden City Police Department have to show for it as of 2023?
The City of Camden now enjoys the following: 1 in 64 residents islikely to be a violent crime victim.
That means that after taking extreme surveillance measures (taken bythe State) Camden still ranks on the list of Murder Cities.

That headline should read, ". . . helped transition the City police department from State oversight to Surveillance State. Thompson could not accomplish his Surveillance State wet dream with old school Camden City Patrol Officers. The entire police force pushed back and were pushed out because of this. Now in 2023, Camden still ranks as one of the most dangerous cities in America.
